I'm Irene Woticky. Lead Product Designer based in Los Angeles with a systems thinker's brain, a high bar for craft, and a genuine obsession with typography, composition, and the details that make a seamless user experience.
My work lives at the intersection of beauty, utility, and business impact. That sensibility was forged early, coming up in the Southern California creative scene, deepened through years of working across enterprise platforms and global consumer products where craft and function have to earn each other.
For 8+ years I have shaped end-to-end experiences, built scalable design systems, and created and contributed to component libraries that keep complex ecosystems coherent and fast to ship. I work best alongside PMs, engineers, and researchers to bring clarity to fuzzy problems, connect product strategy to interaction design, and ship work that serves both users and business. Over the past two years I've applied AI tools including Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Figma AI, and Claude across ideation, visual exploration, and systems documentation to move faster without sacrificing craft or judgment.
Most recently (January – May 2026) I designed and delivered a complete design system from zero for Evergreen Vinyl, a DTC vinyl record retailer, owning every decision from brand tokens and typography to cart flows, PDP components, and developer documentation across desktop and mobile.
Medium, Jakob Nielsen UX Roundup, The Brief, Listed AI, The Neuron and Substack keep me current with what is shifting in user experience thinking.

KIND WORDS
Kemper Bates - Associate Director of UX, Directv / AT&T
June, 2026
I had the pleasure of managing Irene Woticky during my tenure as Associate Director of UX at DIRECTV/ AT&T.
Irene was hired to lead the redesign of a critical internal tool that documented decades of legacy product information. This resource was heavily relied upon by both Product and Engineering teams to support the development of new features and initiatives. Through thoughtful application of design thinking principles and extensive stakeholder interviews, Irene transformed a complex and outdated system into a more intuitive and effective tool.
Her ability to understand user needs, navigate complex requirements, and deliver practical solutions made her a valuable member of the team. The quality of her work led me to extend her contract multiple times, and she continued to contribute successfully to additional UX initiatives across the organization.

Irene joined Staples to assist with a large project which she inherited from another designer. It was a complicated project with a large team and many moving parts. Irene was steadfast in her effort to get up to speed so she could contribute in a meaningful way. She was a great collaborator and proactive in reaching out to other teams to align on design direction across desktop and mobile experiences. She worked especially well with our senior researcher is ensuring we had the proper screens and flows to test with our customers. Irene is a passionate, curious and capable designer and would be asset to any UX team.

I worked with Irene as we handed off a complex enterprise project to Photon for implementation. I had overseen the UX work internally prior to the engagement, and she took over the leadership of the UX component of the work. What I was most happy about in working with Irene was that she is not afraid to ask questions, and was eager to learn about the problem space, in all its complexity.
Most of our work together was knowledge transfer, but she also had a clear design vision, collaborated well, and was enjoyable and fun to work with.

I worked with Irene for only a short time but found her to be quite passionate about her work, including the desire to always go above and beyond to set our products on a higher plane. She has great ideas on everything visual and understands the need to catch the consumer's interest at the first glance in order to give products their best chance at success. Her creativity and drive will be an asset anywhere she chooses to work.

Irene is a visual designer who brings a wealth of print, ad and packaging design experience to her approach to UX design. In particular, she is skilled at using color theory and mood board treatments to crafting brand identities that are such a vital component to the user experience. Her experience across both digital and analog media, and with branding and print collateral, allows her to approach UX more broadly from a visual designer's perspective.
